Eric von Wade, a true Corpus Christi native, graduated from Ray High School. Afterward, he joined the United States Army Reserves then went on to attend Del Mar College and Texas A&M University Corpus Christi, where he majored in Communications.


Eric von Wade has been with 1440 KEYS For sixteen years, first as the host of the afternoon drive, and now as the host of the 1440 KEYS morning show. To this day, the show holds the distinction of being the longest, continual-running radio talk show in the city's history. The show connects South Texans to national issues, through interviews with a wide variety of political figures and celebrities.

Eric has supported countless non-profits and charities in the area. As a graduate of Leadership Corpus Christi, Eric was instrumental in spearheading the "I Love My Corpus Christi Campaign." Eric is a seven-year member and two-term chairman of the Corpus Christi Friends of NRA; he is also a proud board member of the American Diabetes Association of the Coastal Bend. His philanthropic activities continue through his membership as a Mason at Oso Naval Lodge No. 1282, Yorkrite Mason, Shriner.

When not at work, he is a true outdoorsman. Eric enjoys traditional bow hunting, skydiving, fishing, and precision rifle competitions.
